Public Consultation - November 2024
We held two further public exhibitions on Tuesday 19 November 2024 to consult people and seek feedback about our revised proposal so that we can take people’s views on board as we finalise our revised proposal. If you were not able to attend, you can view and download the exhibition materials on this page. The drop in sessions took place at Gargunnock Community Hall and at Cambusbarron Bowling Club.
Information Panels
Information panels were prepared to provide more detail on the revised proposals and answer any questions you might have. If after viewing the information, you have any questions for the team, please email us at earlsburnextension@rsk.co.uk.
Comparative visualisations
During consultation on the application Historic Environment Scotland (HES) objected to the proposal because of the impacts the turbines would have on the views from two scheduled monuments; Carleatheran Cairn and Stirling Castle. Naturalis has redesigned the scheme to address HES concerns.
We have created visuals from Stirling Castle and Carleatheran Cairn that show a comparison of the 11 turbine application layout compared to a reduced 7 turbine layout which is representative of the new proposed layout that will be taken forward in the new submission.

Photomontages
We have prepared photomontages from 6 key viewpoints (the viewpoint numbers correspond to the locations shown on the zone of theoretical visibility figure in the exhibition boards) to illustrate the visibility of the revised turbine layout.
The photomontage views on the exhibition boards are created using photographs taken at the viewpoint locations specifically for the purpose of creating these visualisations. The wind farm is then superimposed onto the photographs using a computer-generated model.
Photography and modelling of the wind farm as shown in the photomontages has been carried out in accordance with guidance produced by NatureScot, however these visual presentations are for exhibition purposes only.
